Measuring Success and Exams

Exams

(1) Exams are divided as midterm exam, final exam, make-up exam, additional exams and make-up exams and single course exams.

(2) Make-up exams are an exam for students who fail the final exam of the courses taken within the normal education and training period.

(3) A single course exam can be offer for students who fail in only one course, although they meet all the other conditions required for graduation. Single course exams are held on the date specified in the academic calendar after the make-up exams at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Course success in a single course exam is determined only by the grade of the single course exam.

Attendance

Attendance is a compulsory part of your studies and you must maintain it at a satisfactory level. Students have to attend 70% of theoretical courses. Attendance will be monitored in each class you attend. For you to succeed academically, we believe that full engagement and participation in your course are essential. Failure to engage without acceptable cause may result for repetition of the same course.

The success of the students is identified at the end of each semester by calculating the average of the grades obtained by a student in a semester or simply a term of studies in various courses that he has taken which is called GPA and Cumulative grades of semester average is called CGPA. Final grade point average (CGPA) must be at least 2.00 over 4.00 which is the maximum grade.

A student who has a regular course program in one term and whose GPA of the semester is 3.00-3.49 is Honour Student and 3.50-4.00 student is considered as High Honour Student. The list of these students is announced at the end of each semester.
